Boat Review: Beneteau Oceanis 48

001-oceanis-48-sailing-in-greeceKavas Yachting proudly presents one of it’s latest additions to the fleet, the Oceanis 48.

2012: Elected "Best Production Sailing Yacht" (up to 15 meters)

The new 48 footer won a National Marine Manufacturers Association Innovation Award for the clever electric platform which adds an extra ±3 feet of space when you’re moored.

The first thing one will notice is the vast twin-helmed cockpit.

It’s built with a huge 3:1 beam to length ratio, which provides a lot of space and gives the illusion you’re in a larger boat. The interior as well is surprisingly spacious thanks to the new hull chine Beneteau has incorporated in their latest Oceanis yachts.

Quite accurately a Beneteau consultant, Sean Brown, has referred to the Oceanis 48 as a “mono-maran”

She will be available for charters from April 13’, contact us at yachtcharter@kavas.com for inquiries
