Kavas Yachting - a
charter company like no other
Kavas
Yachting was founded in 1985 from Vangelis Kavas, a former
Greek Naval officer, whose pation for yachting -and the Sea
in general- lead him to the decision to start a yacht
charter agency. The philosophy of Mr. Kavas in doing
business is simple.. -if you want to do something right, do
it yourself.
The new formed company followed this philosophy from the
very begin and is still operating the same way in all
aspects of yachting enterprises, either this is the fleet of
yachts, the servicing department or the Marina operations.

The Yachts
According
Kavas ideas, the
only way to have control over the quality and offer you a
reliable vessel, is to own it. From the first 30 footer of
1985 to the extensive present fleet of 40+ yachts, Kavas
Yachting owns them all and charters you only these yachts
(*).
Every year, brand new boats
are added in the fleet but care is given in the older
vessels too, which are always kept in tip-top shape.
To achieve that, they need to be thoroughly maintained
and serviced, which lead us to the...

Marina Services department

As
the fleet expanded, a servicing system became an absolute
necessity. As with the fleet, external services were
not acceptable and the company should be in position to
maintain its own boats. Therefore, extensive
investments took place in that field.
When Kavas Yachting starts a
new base on an island, means that we buy -or lease- the
local Marina's shore installations, put cranes, trucks and
everything else that is needed in order to properly maintain
our yachts.
Of course, except our yachts, we service in our
installations other yachts too. Kavas Yachting
services in shore facilities the 50% of the entire fleet of
Greek professional yachts. Our Marina Services
department operates as an individual profitable enterprise.
The consequent is that our own yachts enjoy the best
possible service -at zero cost!!
Spare
Parts
Proper servicing for many yachts requires spare parts..
A lot of them.. It came a moment that we had to keep
so many of them in stock, that lead us to the decision to
start our own chandlery. Just like the Services
department, the chandler shop is an individual enterprise,
cover its costs and provides our own charter fleet with an
abundance of relatively cheap spare parts.
....................................................................................................................
Kavas Yachting
From all the above is easy to understand why we proudly
believe that Kavas Yachting is a 'charter company like no
other'.. Having our own yachts, serviced in the
best possible way at a minimum cost, we are in position to
offer you sailing holidays in Greece at a price others can
only dream about...
....................................................................................................................
(*) In order to offer you a complete range of yachts
our list includes a few boats that are not owned by Kavas
Yachting. That includes the crewed boats -motor yachts
and motorsailers- and some catamarans.
